Dr. J. Scott Clark

Dr. Scott’s mission is simple: To help you reach your maximum wellness potential. As a devoted husband and father of three beautiful children, he understands how important it is to be proactive in you and your family’s healthcare and to help people to reach their wellness goals. He became a chiropractor after witnessing first-hand how adjustments can improve performance and allow the body to heal from nearly any condition.

Dr. Scott grew up in a family of athletes and loves to compete. He was an All-State Defensive Back as well as a state champion and record holder in the pole vault in high school. He completed his undergraduate work at Louisiana State University where he received a B.S. in Kinesiology in 1995. While at LSU, he lettered on the football team as a wide receiver. It was during this time that Dr. Scott’s interest in chiropractic began to grow as he saw the benefits of adjustments on performance. He attended Parker College of Chiropractic, graduating cumme laude in 2003 and has built one of the largest chiropractic practices in Acadiana. In his spare time, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, working out, hunting and fishing. He is also an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he has served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the St. Pius Elementary School Advisory Council.

He has worked as the team physician for area high school football and track teams, worked with professional golfers on the PGA’s Nationwide Tour, and he is the only chiropractor on the medical staff for the National Pole Vault Summit, an annual development camp for U.S.A. Track and Field’s elite and Olympic pole vaulters. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana.

Dr. Scott is continually improving his knowledge and skills by regularly attending continuing education seminars around the country in order to help his patients reach their health and wellness goals. Dr. Scott is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART) provider, which is a patented treatment technique, widely used among world class athletes. He has Advanced Certification from the world-renowned Spine Research Institute of San Diego and Dr. Arthur Croft, making him an expert in Whiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology. He also holds certifications in Personal Injury and Colossus Training for Assessing General Damages  for Bodily Injury Evaluation and Diagnosis through the Personal Injury Institute of Dallas. Dr. Jake Gary

Dr. Jake Gary is a native of Parks, LA, and practices in the New Iberia location. He was an outstanding athlete at Teurlings Catholic High School where he wrestled and played football. He went on to play middle linebacker at East Texas Baptist University where he graduated with a B.S. in Human Biology. Dr. Jake received his doctorate from Life University in Atlanta, GA.  He  also holds Advanced Certification from the esteemed Dr. Arthur Croft and the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, making him an expert in whiplash and brain injury traumatology related to automobile accidents.  (http://www.srisd.com/)

He has been a chiropractic patient since his teens and enjoys treating elite athletes and weekend warriors alike. In his spare time, Dr. Jake can be found waterskiing, hunting, or working on his monster truck, and he was recently involved with an episode of Top Gear on the History Channel.


 

Dr. Matt Smith

Dr. Matt Smith is a native of Lafayette, LA, and practices in our Lafayette location. He is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School, where he played a variety of sports, including hockey, basketball, and soccer. After high school, he attended the University of Louisiana Lafayette where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then went to Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. He currently holds Advanced Certification in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He is a full body certified practitioner of Active Release Techniques. Dr. Matt is also a certified KinesioTaping practitioner and holds a certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment. During his off time he enjoys watching live music, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
