How Do You Know When You’re Healthy

I get asked all the time by people, “How long do you have to go see a chiropractor?”  Or, “I’ve heard once you go see a chiropractor, you have to keep going.”  My answer to these people is always this:  “You can enjoy the benefits of chiropractic care and natural health as long as you choose to.  It’s up to you.”  I’m sure dentists rarely get asked these days how long people should continue to brush their teeth, and I’m pretty sure it’s not common for dietitians to get asked how long people should eat healthier.

You see, we have a distorted view in our society of what health really is.  For years we’ve been brainwashed into thinking that as long as we don’t have symptoms, then we’re healthy.  And when we do have symptoms, there’s a pill for that!  We would certainly do better to naturally boost our immune system rather than suppress it.  To be pro-active with our health instead of reactive.

I define health as mind, body, and spirit all functioning at 100%.  It’s important to remember that optimal health is a journey, not just a destination.  Taking care of your spine and nervous system is an important part of that.  So is proper nutrition, and exercise, and prayer.

So if you’re interested in unlocking your true health potential, eat right, exercise, and get adjusted regularly.

Stay Well Adjusted,

Dr. Scott
